Phat Ali Shah

Gesso, acrylic and glitter on panel, 2005. This is a blurry studio snapshot, I don’t recall the dimensions! It was exhibited in 2005-2006 in Do You Think I’m Disco curated by Edwin Ramoran @the Bronx’ Longwood Gallery (alongside works by amazing artists like Ivan Monforte, Mickalene Thomas, Shinique Smith +Kalup Linzy). This piece began my obsession with making a Persian dance platform. Click on OBJECTS in the Menu to see my first iterations of this idea 12 years later beginning in 2017.
